Queen City tourism is front and center at the Connect and Collaborate conference

Economic Regina will be going over recent events that have taken place in the Queen City and how to bring in more at conference on Thursday.

The organization is hosting its second annual Connect and Collaborate conference, with this year featuring speakers from Canada and the USA.

Economic Regina’s Ashley Stone says it’s important to connect and review what is being done to attract people to Regina. “We need to take time out of our year as an industry to come together to really reconnect with each other, see what each other are doing, as well as jump on those learning opportunities locally to really start to see the opportunities moving forward as an industry.”

Stone says they will also go over some of the big events that made their way here this year, including the Heritage Classic. “Myself and our team will be there talking about tourism data and what is going on in the industry and who we know is coming and why they are coming to our destination. As well as some wrap up about this year and all the great things and great people we hosted in the destination.”

She adds she is very excited to bring together the Queen City’s tourism community. “Just to talk about our opportunities moving forward in the industry and how we can really propel Regina forward into the next chapter of welcoming visitors into our destination .”

The conference will take place at The Atlas Hotel, formerly the Travelodge Regina South.
