The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed 24-year-old Arkansas State quarterback Justice Hansen to the teams practice roster.
The 6’4″ 224 pound pivot lead Arkansas State to an 8-5 record and was named the Sun Belt Player of the Year in 2018.
As a senior Hansen threw for 3,447 yards, 27 touchdowns and just nine interceptions.
Hansen joins the Riders after most recently spending time on the San Diego Chargers practice roster.
It’s believed the signing is insurance with Cody Fajardo’s status still up in the air for the western final on November 17th, as he continues to rehab an oblique injury.
It also gives the club an extra arm during practice this coming week.
