The Regina Police Service says a death on Thursday has now been deemed a homicide.
The investigation began after officers were dispatched at 11:20 p.m. Thursday night to the 1800 block of St. John Street to a report of a man who was found dead. EMS later arrived on scene and confirmed he was deceased.
Police brought in the coroner and started investigating the death which is now being treated as a homicide.
The man’s identity was confirmed, but it will not be released to the public as the Major Crimes unit and the Coroners Service continue their investigation.
