APAS expresses support for Sask. ten year Growth Plan

Saskatchewan’s general farm group welcomes a new ten year growth plan outlined by Premier Scott Moe.

APAS president Todd Lewis supports the goal of expanding agri-food exports to 20 billion dollars by 2030.

He says the goal is ambitious but Saskatchewan farm production continues to grow as farmers switch to improved crop varieties.

Lewis also welcomes the setting up of three trade offices in important markets like Japan, India and Singapore.

He supports the new tax incentives for farm technology development and incentives for chemical fertilizer expansion.
