A 19-year-old woman is dead after a two vehicle collision near Wakaw.

Around 9:15 a.m. Monday morning emergency crews were called to the scene on Highway 2 about two kilometers north of Wakaw.

Investigation revealed an SUV collided with the woman’s car.

The woman was pronounced dead on the scene, while a 58-year-old man driving the SUV received serious injuries, a young girl in the SUV was not injured.

Road conditions were wet and visibility was clear at the time of the collision.

Alcohol is not believed to be a factor.

Wakaw is about 90 kilometers northeast of Saskatoon.
