Weyburn regional crop specialist Sherri Roberts expects harvest to wrap up late this fall or early next spring.
She says some farmers are letting cattle graze their crop but she has a warning.
Roberts cautions livestock producers to be aware of the crop used for grazing because cattle can be sickened by unusual or moldy feed.
The agriculture ministry says many of the fields still to be harvested are in east central and southeast Saskatchewan.
