More than 120,000 expected at this year’s Agribition

More than 120,000 people are expected to attend Canadian Western Agribition in Regina, which opens Monday at Evraz Place.

CEO Chris Lane said the week long show has over 1,500 head of cattle, a rise in entries from last year.

“Given the current state of agriculture and the tough fall people have had we’re sure happy with those numbers,” Lane said. “No only that but our trade show is completely sold out, so we’ve got every square foot available with an exhibitor in it, so we’ve got tractors, to farm supplies, to toys, home decor, financial services and agronomy,” Lane said.

Overall the tradeshow has more than 400 exhibitors, making it the fourth largest in Canada.

Lane expects more than 1,000 visitors from 80 foreign countries.

Agribition wraps up Saturday in Regina.
