Charges dropped against Nadine Wilson

Charges against Saskatchewan Party MLA Nadine Wilson have been withdrawn.

Her lawyer Mark Brayford says the move came after successful Alternate Measures mediation.

The member for Saskatchewan Rivers was accused of two counts of common assault after a March 21st incident between the 61-year-old, her stepmother and stepbrother while Wilson was visiting her father who has since died.

The case went to mediation in October.

Wilson resigned as provincial secretary after the charges were laid but continued to serve her constituency and remained a member of the SaskParty caucus.
