Riders sign five players

The Riders are adding five players to the roster.

The green-and-white have signed Canadian offensive lineman Logan Ferland, Canadian linebacker Jacob Janke, American running back Jamal Morrow, Canadian offensive lineman Vincent Roy and global receiver Max Zimmermann to the roster.

Ferland, who has just finished his career with the Regina Thunder,  and Morrow were signed from the 2019 practice roster.

Zimmermann was selected by the Roughriders sixth overall in the 2019 European Draft. The German-born receiver dressed for one game with the Club in 2019 before being moved to the practice roster.

Janke was selected by the Roughriders in the fourth round of the 2019 CFL Draft but returned to York University to play in his fourth year of eligibility. He racked up 42 total tackles, four tackles for losses, three interceptions, two forced fumbles, one sack, one fumble recovery and three pass breakups.

Roy was selected by the Roughriders in the sixth round of the 2019 draft and attended training camp with the Club before returning for his final year of eligibility at the University of Sherbrooke.
