The Regina Pats dropped a 4-1 decision in Lethbridge Thursday night, ending their winning streak at two.

Pats Head Coach Dave Struch, felt they were a step behind all night.

“I think we were behind all over the ice, in my years here I think it was probably Max Paddock’s best game that I’ve seen him play,” Struch said. “He gave us a great opportunity in a night that we needed our big guys to work a little bit harder and move their feet a little bit more,” Struch added.

Zack Smith scored the lone goal for Regina (5-15-2-0) while Max Paddock made 38 saves.

“We stuck in the battle, a lot of it due to what Max (Paddock) did for us, obviously getting the late goal is a positive, but we need all of our guys every night for us to have a chance, and I think we were three, four, five guys short tonight,” Struch also said.

A stretch of four games in five nights will continue for the Pats in Calgary Friday night, which will also be the start of three games in three days.
