Special Weather Statement issued as Colorado Low side swipes southeast Sask.

Environment Canada has issued a Special Weather Statement for portions of southeast Saskatchewan Friday morning, including Moosomin, Weyburn, Estevan and Carlyle.

A Colorado Low sweeping through the United States will edge across southeast Saskatchewan Friday and into Saturday, bringing both rain and snow to the areas under the advisory.

The mixed precipitation could continue late into the day Saturday before moving away.

Regina and Moose Jaw are not included in the advisory, but could see more light snow Friday night and into Saturday morning.

Close to five centimeters has fallen in Regina from Thursday evening into Friday morning.
