Power was out for many in the RM of Lake Alma, about 150 kilometres south of Regina, on Saturday after an outage which SaskPower is blaming on the weather.

The outage started at 10:30 Saturday morning with full power being re-established 9 hours later at 7:30 pm.

SaskPower says wind and freezing rain are to blame for the outage which affected around 800 people
