The discovery of a deceased man has prompted the Regina Police Service to begin a death investigation.

At around 4:00 a.m. on December 1, police were sent to the 1200 block of Queen Street where a man was lying injured in the street.

Officers and EMS located the man who was confirmed dead.

Since this incident, RPS have requested resources of the major crimes and forensic identification units along with the coroner.

Police have begun the process of identifying the man and notifying his next of kin.

Anyone with information that could assist police and the coroner in this investigation are asked to contact the Regina Police Service or Crime Stoppers.
