Melfort RCMP say an 88 year-old man died when his pick-up truck collided with an air seeder on Friday afternoon north of Naicam on highway #6.

The collision took place at around 2:30 in the afternoon, and road conditions are not believed to be a factor.

The truck was traveling south while the air seeder was heading north. The operator of the air seeder sustained minor injuries and was transported to hospital.

The driver’s identity has not been released, and an autopsy took place on Monday.
