One month in the province says Regina’s Bypass see’s an average of 5,630 vehicles per day

The Regina Bypass has been opened for a month now, and according to the provincial government has been seeing its fair share of users early on.

In a news release issued Wednesday morning the Ministry of Highways and Infrastructure says 5,630 vehicles, including 1,230 trucks use the bypass daily.

The ministry anticipates the bypass will reduce fuel consumption by transport trucks by as much as 300-million litres over the next 30 years, resulting in a 1.5 percent reduction in greehouse gas emissions.

The Regina Bypass officially opened on October 29th, after four years of construction.
