Well, the Christmas season is here and along with it comes the office Christmas parties. I know people who have already had their Christmas parties. In November!
Our party is this Saturday and it sounds like everyone is looking forward to it. I don’t attend our Christmas party. I can’t even recall the last one I went to. It’s not that I’m anti-social or don’t like the people I work with, it’s just that I’ve never been a fan of work Christmas parties.
I must admit though, I always look forward to hearing about the party the following Monday morning. I want to know all the juicy details. Who got drunk and told the boss off, who wiped out on the dance floor, who decided to throw up that delicious supper all over a co-worker. You know, stuff like that!
Unfortunately for me, our group is a pretty well behaved one. I never hear any bad gossip, and good gossip is, well, quite boring.
So, before you make your way to your Christmas party, remember the old saying. “What happens at the Christmas party, doesn’t necessarily stay at the Christmas party.” How true.
You never want find yourself the hot topic of conversation in the office the following Monday morning, that is, if you still have a job to go to!
