A 35-year-old man is dead after being shot in Saskatoon.

Police say they were called to the 200 block of Avenue X North, in the Mount Royal area, around 7:20 Saturday morning after getting reports of shots being fired and an injured man.

The man was rushed to hospital, but he died from injuries sustained.

2019 has seen the most murders in Saskatoon history surpassing the total of 13 set just last year.
