Alberta man faces drug trafficking charges: Sask. RCMP

An Alberta man is facing drug charges after routine stop in the Maidstone area.

RCMP say on Wednesday a vehicle was stopped on Highway 16 for a routine traffic stop and officers suspected there was drugs in the car.

The man driving was detained during the search and later arrested for possession for the purpose of trafficking.

Police say about 261 bags of powdered cocaine and 435 bags of crack cocaine was seized, with the total weight being 617 grams.

Twenty-seven-year-old Mark Adlington of Edmonton has been released from custody and will appear in Lloydminster court on January 28th.
