Regina City Council will sit down Monday night to begin reviewing it’s proposed operating budget for 2020.
The highlight going into the meeting may be the mill rate increase.
A proposed 2.75 percent increase and a .5 percent dedicated amount for the Recreation Infrastructure Program would mean an additional $5.60 per month in municipal taxes for a Regina home owner with a property valued at $350,000.
The city says it’s the lowest mill rate rise in a decade.
The city also says the increase includes the .45 percent dedicated amount to pay for Mosaic Stadium.
The meeting gets underway at 5:30 p.m. Monday afternoon from Henry Baker Hall.
