Extreme Cold Warnings remain in effect across eastern Sask. Tuesday morning

It’s still bitterly cold across much of the province.

Extreme Cold Warnings remain in place across much of eastern Saskatchewan Tuesday morning as well as the far north.

Environment Canada says extreme wind chill values near -40 C or -50 C up north combined with daytime highs less than -16 C mean the warning will stay in place.

Watch for cold related symptoms such as shortness of breath, chest pain, muscle pain and weakness, numbness and colour change in fingers and toes.

Dress warmly and in layers that you can remove if you get too warm.

Your outer most layer should be wind resistant.

In Regina on Tuesday the daytime high is expected to be just -19 C, the normal this time of year is about -8 C.

Temperatures are not expected to return to more seasonal values until early next week for many regions, including Regina and Moose Jaw.
