Farmers at APAS meeting discuss three key issues

The president of APAS says farmers discussed three key issues at the recent annual meeting in Regina.

Todd Lewis says a resolution passed unanimously calling on Ottawa to rebate any carbon tax payments on fuel used for grain drying this fall and winter.

Lewis adds farmers are also pushing for improvements to agristability, with margin coverage returned to 85 percent from 70 percent.

He says trade was also a key concern among delegates at the annual meeting.
