Regina Police fire shots at dog while attending call, the animal was not harmed

A Regina Police officer fired their gun at a dog Monday night while attending a call on the 500 block of Victoria Avenue.

Around 9:30 p.m. police received a call from a woman asking for help, when officers arrived at the scene an “aggressive dog” ran towards them.

In a news release police state the officers were not able to get to a position of safety, so one officer fired shots at the dog scaring it away before it was locked in a room for the time being.

Police say they were then able to continue their investigation without any further incidents, no word why the woman had called 9-1-1.
