Extreme cold warnings continue in portions of Saskatchewan Wednesday

The cold continues throughout northern and eastern Saskatchewan Wednesday.

Environment Canada said a cold arctic airmass is expected to remain in place throughout the remainder of this week.

Wind chill values will moderate daily, then once again fall into the minus 45 to 50 range overnight for the next several days.

The weather agency said to watch for cold related symptoms: shortness of breath, chest pain, muscle pain and weakness, numbness and colour change in fingers and toes.

Cover up. Frostbite can develop within minutes on exposed skin, especially with wind chill.

If it’s too cold for you to stay outside, it’s too cold for your pet to stay outside.
