Extreme cold warnings issued for northern and eastern Sask.

The bitter cold will continue into next week according to Environment Canada.

The weather agency says a cold arctic airmass is expected to remain in place throughout the remainder of this week and into mid next week.

Wind chill values will moderate for most regions during the day, then once again fall into the minus 45 to 50 range overnight for the next several days.

It says the extreme cold puts everyone at risk.
