Pats finish first half of season with shootout loss to Winnipeg

The WHL has entered its Christmas break.

The Regina Pats were hoping to head home on a winning note, but while they lost their final game of the first half of the season to the Winnipeg Ice, they did take home a point losing 5-4 in a shootout to give them five out of eight points in a first-half ending four game homestand.

Robbie Holmes had a pair of goals for the Pats including one at 6:08 of the 3rd to give them a 4-3 lead, but Jackson Leppard forced the overtime with a goal at the 17:10 mark.

Regina is now 8-18-3-1 on the season.  They will be off until December 27th when they travel to Moose Jaw to meet the Warriors.  The next home game is on December 28th against the Warriors.
