It was an interesting scene on the evening of Christmas Day for residents in Regina’s North Central area.

The Regina Police Service has stated that emergency services teams were required on Wednesday at around 5:30 p.m. for a weapons offence at the 1200 block of Rae Street in Regina.

The situation involved the street’s closure which has since been reopened.

Not many details have been released by RPS at this time, however they shared that the investigation has included crisis negotiators, special weapons and tactics units, along with canine and patrol units.

This matter is still under investigation.
