Teen charged in Christmas Day SWAT call

A Regina teen is facing charges after a Christmas Day SWAT Team call.

The Regina Police Service says officers were called to the 1200 block of Rae Street at about 3:25pm.

Information received stated multiple people knocked on the door of a house, demanded money and allegedly possessed weapons.

The suspects did not enter the home, but police say they did go into a different home on the same street.

RPS surrounded the home and after hours of attempted negotiation, called the SWAT Team.

A number of people left the home shortly after with one teen being arrested in the home.

A 17-year-old man is facing a charge of robbery and will make his first court appearance on February 24th.
