La Ronge RCMP say John Riley Sanderson is considered dangerous and should not be approached.

RCMP say an inmate who allegedly escaped while being escorted from court in northern Saskatchewan has a previous history of violent offences and should not be approached.

A manhunt is underway for John Riley Sanderson, who is described as 5’7′, 170lbs with black hair, brown eyes and several tattoos, including the letters “L-A” under his left eye and “Mary Rose” and “Veronica” on his neck.

Police say he was being escorted from the La Ronge courthouse to a vehicle when he got out of his restraints and ran away.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of John Riley Sanderson is asked to call 911 immediately or their local RCMP police detachment by calling 306-310-RCMP (7267).
