Regina Police investigating aggravated assault outside of downtown area

A Regina man faces two charges in connection to an aggravated assault that took place Sunday night just outside of the city’s downtown.

Police were called to the 2100 block of Osler Street at around 7:30 PM, where a 44 year-old man was suffering from injuries from a stabbing an pepper spray attack.

Police learned the victim was walking through a parking lot on the 2100 block of Broad Street where two suspects exited a store. It is believed one suspect pepper sprayed the victim, while the other stabbed him. The victim was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Investigation led to the arrest of 25 year-old Jesse Veeder. He faces two charges, including aggravated assault and failure to comply with a probation order.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact police or CrimeStoppers.
