A Regina judge has denied bail to the 12 year old boy accused of deliberately starting a fire at the Rochdale Boulevard Walmart.

The boy, who can’t be named because of his age, allegedly walked into the store and set fire to some paper towels at the store on December 10. The store has been closed since as virtually everything inside suffered smoke and water damage with a re-opening date not clear at this time.

The boy is also facing other charges including one stemming from an October incident in which he threatened to shoot students and staff at a Regina elementary school. He will be back in court on Friday.
