Several residents near the 300 block of College Avenue East called police on Saturday morning after hearing gunshots in their neighbourhood.

Officers were dispatched to the area at 6:30 a.m. where they located evidence confirming someone used a firearm.

No one was injured as a result of the incident, however police are looking for answers.

RPS say more information may be released at a later date as their investigation is in its early stages.
