One person dead, three injured after two-vehicle collision outside of Aberdeen

Saskatoon RCMP are investigating a fatal two-vehicle collision that took place Thursday night on highway 41 south of Aberdeen.

The 74 year-old man driving a southbound pickup truck was transported to hospital with serious injuries after the collision, while the 67 year-old passenger was declared deceased at the scene.

The 34 year-old man driving a northbound truck also sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital. A four year-old passenger was transported to hospital via STARS.

No information has been released on how the collision took place, as the investigation is ongoing. Highway 41 was closed for a period of time during the investigation but it has since reopened.

Aberdeen Fire and EMS also responded to the accident.
