Regina police open death investigation after man dies from critical injuries

The death of a man on Friday afternoon in Regina has prompted police to open a death investigation.

Officers were dispatched for a property check just before 3:19 p.m. on Friday afternoon at a residence on the 4400 block of Dewdney Avenue in the city’s west end.  Upon arrival, police found a critically injured man at a home in the area and requested EMS.

Paramedics transported the injured man to hospital for treatment. He was pronounced dead at 4:28 p.m.

The Regina Police Service has requested additional resources for the investigation including the coroner’s service.
