Regina police have opened another death investigation this weekend after the discovery of an unresponsive man on Saturday evening.
Officers were sent at 7:37 p.m. to the 1200 block of Rae Street after a report of a gunshot and an injured person at the scene. Police arrived and found the man was unresponsive in front of a residence in the area.
EMS pronounced the man was dead at the scene.
Police have since secured the area and brought in additional resources including the coroner for this investigation.
This is the second death investigation started by the Regina Police Service this weekend after an incident on Friday afternoon.
RPS are also investigating Regina’s second homicide of the year after a man was found dead on Friday morning.
