Regina Police make arrests in two weekend murders

Regina Police have now laid charges in what has been determined as the city’s third homicide of 2020.

Police found an unresponsive man on the 1200 block of Rae street on Saturday night after gunshots were reported earlier that evening. 24 year-old Isiah Allary from Regina was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.

Police investigation led to the arrest of 25 year-old Devon Cyr of Regina. He faces a first degree murder charge, as well as two counts of possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order, and failure to comply with a prohibition order.

Cyr makes his first court appearance Monday morning. Police are still investigating.

Regina teen facing murder charge in city’s 2nd homicide of 2020

Regina Police have also made an arrest in the city’s second homicide of the year that took place on Friday morning.

Police were called to the 500 block of Wascana street for a report of an injured man. About 10 minutes after police were dispatched, 23 year-old Majok Agwait Majok was pronounced dead by EMS.

Police have arrested a 17 year-old teen boy and charged him with 2nd degree murder. The boy will make his first court appearance Monday morning.

Police are still investigating the homicide.
