Defending champ Robyn Silvernagle has put herself in good position to repeat after taking the “A’ event at the Viterra Scotties in Melville Saturday night.
Silvernagle and her North Battleford rink defeated Regina’s Michelle Englot 7-6 to become the first of four playoff teams and grab the all important one seed.
Englot falls to the “B” where she will play Ashley Howard in one semi-final. The other will see Sherry Anderson against Penny Barker in games that start at 3 o’clock Sunday afternoon. The winners will meet for the second playoff spot at 7:30.
The final is on Tuesday night with the winner moving on to represent Saskatchewan at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts where they will serve as the host province seeing the event is being held at Moose Jaw’s Mosaic Place February 15-23.
