Robyn Silvernagle is one game away from defending her Saskatchewan women’s curling title.
Silvernagle and her North Battleford rink defeated Ashley Howard 7-6 taking two with last rock in the 10th end to take the 1 vs 2 game at the Viterra Scotties in Melville and advance to Tuesday afternoon’s championship game.
Silvernagle will either meet Sherry Anderson in the final. After eliminating Penny Barker 10-2 to move into Tuesday morning’s semi-final, Anderson then knocked out Ashley Howard with a 7-5 on Tuesday morning. Anderson tied the game at 5 with two in the 8th before stealing one in the 9th and 10th end to take the win and set up a rematch of last year’s provincial final
The winner of the Viterra Scotties will have a couple of weeks to recharge before entering Mosaic Place in Moose Jaw as the host rink for the Scotties Tournament of Hearts which goes February 15-23.
