Those who were expecting a Kirk Muyres-Matt Dunstone game in the 1 vs 2 Page Playoff game got a surprise Saturday morning at the SaskTel Tankard in Melville.
Kody Hartung and his rink from Langenburg needed an extra end to defeat Dunstone 6-5 and take the “B” event. It also sets up that 1 vs 2 game against Muyres that will go Saturday night at 7 with the winner moving into the final on Sunday afternoon.
Dunstone falls to the “C” event where he is taking on Shawn Meachem in one game with Jason Jacobson meeting Josh Heidt in another. The winners of those games will play in the 3 vs 4 game.
The winner of the SaskTel Tankard will head to Kingston, Ontario carrying Saskatchewan’s hopes into the Tim Hortons Brier.
