NDP once again makes call to Moe gov’t to resolve refinery lockout

On Day 58 of the lockout involving workers at the Co-Op refinery, Unifor reiterated to Premier Scott Moe that it is time for him to step in with binding arbitration saying a letter has been sent to him.

The Saskatchewan NDP is also saying the time has come for binding arbitration to occur.

Leader Ryan Meili sent out a statement Saturday afternoon saying the lack of leadership from the provincial government on this issue can not continue and that binding arbitration is needed.

He says the people of Saskatchewan need to hear from Labour Minister Don Morgan before Saturday is over to assure them that he will not allow this situation to go on indefinitely.

There has been no confirmation from the Moe government about the letter being received.
