RCMP have charged 18-year-old Shauntay Keewatin with second degree murder in relation to a homicide that took place on Saturday, on Star Blanket First Nation.

Keewatin was arrested shortly after the 17-year-old victim was found dead in his residence after an altercation was reported.

Keewatin makes his first court appearance in Fort Qu’Appelle Monday morning.

RCMP say the request of the family they will not be releasing the victims name.
