20-year-old man in court after break and enter, weapons offences: Regina Police

A Regina Police investigation into a break and enter early Thursday morning has resulted in the arrest of 20-year-old Shawn Tuttosi.

Just after midnight on Thursday, police were sent to the 700 block of Broad Street following a report of a suspicious person at a car dealership.

Police followed a track of footprints in the snow that led to several businesses before directing eastbound. That’s when officers located Tuttosi in an alley just north of 3rd Avenue North

One of the officers approached him and made the arrest before finding a folding knife and large machete on the suspect.

Tuttosi was also in possession of a gas card that police believe was stolen during the break and enter that night.

He faced his charges of break, enter and commit theft, carrying a concealed weapon, breach of release order and breach of probation during his first court appearance Thursday morning.
