Aberdeen man facing 10 charges after January fatal collision

A 34-year-old man from Aberdeen has 10 charges against him following a fatal two-vehicle accident on January 23, 2020 on Highway #41 south of the community.

Saskatoon RCMP have charged him with the following:

  • Criminal Negligence Causing Bodily Harm;
  • Impaired Driving Causing Death;
  • Drive Over 0.08 Causing Death;
  • Dangerous Driving Causing Death;
  • Two counts of Impaired Driving Causing Bodily Harm;
  • Two counts of Drive Over 0.08 Causing Bodily Harm; and
  • Two counts of Dangerous Driving Causing Bodily Harm.

He makes his first court appearance in Saskatoon on February 7 at 9:00 a.m.

After the collision, a 74-year-old man driving a southbound pickup truck was transported to hospital with serious injuries after the collision, while a 67 year-old passenger was declared deceased at the scene.

A four-year-old passenger was transported to hospital via STARS.
