The Regina Pats have extended their winning streak to four games after a 4-2 win over the Swift Current Broncos Friday night.
It’s the second win of the season for the Pats over the Broncos, who had taken the previous two meetings back in July.
After a scoreless first period, Carson Denomie got the Pats on the board 2:44 into the second period, giving Regina the 1-0 lead.
Former Pat Sam McGinley tied the game for Swift Current 10 minutes later before Denomie potted his second of the night. Alex Moar would later score on the power play to tie the game once again heading to the third.
In the final stanza, Austin Pratt scored his 16th goal of the season on the power play. It would stand as the game winner, with former Bronco Carter Chorney scored an insurance marker 12:39 into the third.
The season series between the two rival clubs concludes Saturday night at the Brandt Centre.
The game can be heard on 620 CKRM with the pregame show beginning at 6:35.
