A familiar face will be back in green for 2020.
The Riders have signed linebacker Otha Foster to a one-year contract. Foster played for the Riders in 2016 and 2017 with a stint in the NFL in between. He spent the 2018 season with the BC Lions.
Foster played the SAM linebacker spot for Riders and Lions. That position was most-recently occupied by Derrick Moncrief–who has gone to the NFL. So there is a natural fit for Foster in the Riders defense.
In 2016 Foster set a career high with 58 tackles. He added three sacks and five tackles for a loss.
