Regina woman facing manslaughter charge in connection with death of three year old almost two years ago

A 33-year-old woman faces a manslaughter charge in connection with the death of a three-year-old girl in March of 2018.

Regina police were called to a home on the 100 block of Montreal Street North on March 20, 2018 after a report of an unresponsive child inside.  Zoey Hancock was rushed to hospital, but died a few hours later.

Ashley Longworth, who was running a home daycare at that home, made a court appearance on Wednesday and was released under a number of conditions, including not supervising any child under the age of 16.

She will be back in court March 18.
