After speaking with his counterparts via conference call on Wednesday, Saskatchewan’s premier wants another conference call with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau joining them.
Moe says Wednesday’s conference call resulted in an agreement that another call is needed with Trudeau to discuss paths to a peaceful resolution and an end to the illegal blockades. He would like that call to happen on Thursday.
In a statement issued Wednesday afternoon, Moe said the call discussed the impacts illegal blockades are having on their respective jurisdictions and economies and that a meeting with the Prime Minister is needed a-s-a-p. Moe sent out some tweets Tuesday saying there has been “a lack of federal leadership” when it comes to the blockades.
