What is something you could eat every day and not get sick of?

What is with soup and sandwiches that makes them so comforting to eat? We all have a food, or a meal, that we could eat almost daily and never get sick of it. For me, that would be soup and sandwiches. The simplicity of this meal and the taste is unmatched when you’re looking for something quick.
It doesn’t seem to matter what season we’re in either, a good soup and a delicious sandwich ALWAYS tastes very good. Whether it’s extremely hot outside, bone chilling cold, or if you’re under the weather soup just seems to hit the spot and make you feel so much better. Homemade hamburger soup will always be the best because it’s so hearty and tasty, however the commercially made soup in the cans have improved dramatically and I find myself enjoying them more and more, especially any soup that has chicken in it.
When it comes to sandwiches, any kind of sandwich tastes great with soup especially when you can dunk it into the soup! It’s hard to beat a plain cheese sandwich on whole wheat or multigrain bread dunked into a thick sausage and chicken gumbo soup on a cold winter day. Have you tried it? You’re missing out if you haven’t! There’s also something special about a thick, homemade garden minestrone soup coupled with a beautifully toasted stacked Reuben sandwich with lots of sauerkraut, corned beef, and Swiss cheese. MMMMM! In other words, Soup and sandwiches are two things I could eat every day and never get sick of.
Now if you’ll excuse me I’ve drooled all over the keyboard I’m typing on and our IT guy is not very happy. He’s given me “the look.” I got to go!
