Stolen IPad results in child pornography and extortion charges

A Regina man is facing child pornography charges after going to police to say he was a victim of extortion.

On February 23, the man came to Regina police headquarters to say his I-Pad had been stolen and that he was being extorted for money because there was child pornography on the device.

An investigation started with a woman behind the alleged extortion being arrested the next day with the I-Pa and her cellphone being seized.

The ICE unit became involved and a search warrant was executed at a Regina home where child pornography was found resulting in a computer and numerous hard drives being seized.

20-year-old Deandra Moise is facing charges including extortion and theft under $5,000 while 36-year old Jeremy McMillan is facing a charge of possession of child pornography and accessing child pornography.

Both made their first court appearances on Tuesday.
