Western Hockey League doing what others are doing to stop COVID-19 from spreading

The Western Hockey League is the latest league to speak out on what is being done to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

In a release issued by the league Tuesday morning, the league is directing all clubs to eliminate handshakes, sharing of water bottles and towels and all direct contact with fans meaning handshakes, high fives and signing autographs.

The league says information has been given to all teams as they take all necessary precautions to try and prevent the spread of the disease

There is no talk about cancelling games or having games played in empty arenas with all media interviews to be conducted outside the dressing room which is the way it is now for the Regina Pats.
