Meili continues pushing for delayed budget amid COVID-19 concerns

The opposition NDP wants quick response from the government when it comes to the spread of COVID-19 and to make sure Saskatchewan people are protected.

Leader Ryan Meili is once again calling on the government to postpone tomorrow’s budget and act quickly to develop a plan that responds to what we are seeing and to get social distancing right by banning public gatherings of more than 50 people which includes suspending the current Legislative session. Meili is also calling on a financial aid package for affected workers and businesses to be brought forward.

NDP Leader Ryan Meili is calling on the provincial government to act quickly to respond to the spread of COVID-19 and ensure the supports are in place to protect Saskatchewan people.

Meili says the time to act is now and that we need to invest in Saskatchewan people today and that by doing these things and starting work on a post-pandemic economic stimulus plan that we can get ahead of the curve and be a province that tackled this the right way and took care of people first.
